Creator success guide: profile, uploads, pricing, PPV, and promotion

A detailed guide for creator profiles, uploads, buyer outreach, public teasers, paid descriptions, pricing, sharing, and PPV messages.

Creator success starts with a clear offer

There are no guaranteed sales on Footly, but buyers are more likely to engage when your profile clearly explains what you offer, how often you post, what your prices mean, and how to request content.

The goal: make it easy for a buyer to understand your style, trust that you are active, and know the next action to take.

Launch checklist

Complete verification: Footly is 18+ only, and creators must complete age and identity verification before selling.

Choose a creator plan: Pick the plan that fits your stage and expected sales volume.

Set your username: Use letters, numbers, and underscores. Avoid private personal information.

Add profile images: Use a clean profile picture and cover image that match your brand without exposing information you want private.

Write a concise bio: Say what you offer, how often you post, and how buyers should contact you.

Create your first post: Add a strong public preview, then build subscriber or PPV content around it.

Test your profile link: Open your public profile and make sure everything looks right before sharing.

How to fill out your bio

Your bio is your storefront. Buyers usually scan it quickly, so make the first line specific.

Use this simple bio formula

Line 1: Who you are and your style. Example: Verified creator posting clean, high-quality foot photo sets and short clips.

Line 2: What buyers can get. Example: Subscriber posts weekly, PPV sets, tips, and custom requests by message.

Line 3: Response expectation. Example: I usually reply within 24 hours.

Line 4: Call to action. Example: Subscribe for the feed or message me for custom pricing.

Strong bio examples

Simple: Verified creator. New foot photo sets weekly. Subscribe for my feed, unlock PPV extras, or message me for customs.

Premium: Clean, polished foot photos and short clips with consistent weekly drops. Subscriber feed plus PPV sets and custom requests by message.

Custom-focused: Verified creator offering foot-focused photo sets, short clips, and customs. Send a respectful message with your idea and budget.

What to include

• Your posting cadence, such as daily, weekly, or a few times per week.

• Whether you offer subscriptions, PPV posts, PPV messages, tips, or custom requests.

• Your response window, such as same day or within 24-48 hours.

• Your boundaries in a professional way.

• A clear next step: subscribe, unlock, tip, or message.

What not to include

• Your legal name, home city, address, phone number, private email, or personal social accounts.

• Off-platform payment handles or requests to pay outside Footly.

• Promises you cannot keep, such as instant replies if you are not always available.

• Content categories that violate Footly rules.

Profile images and branding

Use a consistent look: Pick a color, lighting style, or background that makes your posts recognizable.

Keep it inspectable: Buyers should be able to see the style and quality of your work from the preview.

Protect privacy: Crop out mail, addresses, windows, tattoos, faces, mirrors, IDs, and anything else you do not want public.

Stay accurate: Your images and bio should match the type of content you actually post.

How to upload a post

• Open Footly and go to /creator/upload or choose the upload/create post action from your creator area.

• Choose New Post.

• Use Write your post... to add a caption. A good caption explains what is included and why someone should unlock or subscribe.

• Use Add Photos/Videos, then drag files into the upload box or choose Select Files.

• Wait until the file grid shows the uploads are complete. Do not publish while files are still uploading.

• Choose visibility: Public, Subscribers, or PPV.

• If you choose PPV, enter the required Unlock Price. You can also add an optional Subscriber Price as a discount.

• Add tags when they accurately describe the style, feet focus, outfit, or setting.

• Decide whether to turn on Allow comments.

• Use Pin to profile for your best intro post, offer menu, or strongest preview.

• Publish when everything is correct.

What to post first

Intro post: A public welcome post that explains what buyers can expect from you.

Preview post: A polished public or subscriber preview that shows quality without giving away your best paid set.

PPV set: A focused, clearly described set with an unlock price.

Offer post: A pinned post listing your subscription, PPV, tip, and custom request options.

How to price your content

Pricing is part math and part positioning. Start simple, learn what buyers respond to, then adjust.

Useful starting ranges

Public posts: Free. Use them for discovery, personality, and proof that your account is active.

Subscriber posts: Best for recurring value. Use these for steady drops that make a subscription feel worthwhile.

PPV posts: Commonly useful for stronger sets, bundles, videos, or limited extras. Footly requires a PPV unlock price when you choose PPV.

PPV messages: Good for direct, tailored offers to an interested buyer. Minimum unlock price is $1.00.

Custom requests: Price higher than standard posts because they take planning, communication, and delivery time.

Pricing examples

Starter PPV photo set: $3-$7 for a simple set with a clear theme.

Larger PPV set: $8-$15 for more images, stronger variety, or a polished bundle.

Short video: $10-$25 depending on length, production quality, and buyer demand.

Custom content: Start above your standard PPV pricing because the buyer is requesting something specific.

These are not rules. They are starting points. If buyers unlock quickly, test a slightly higher price. If many people ask questions but do not buy, test clearer captions, better previews, smaller bundles, or lower entry prices.

How Footly platform fees work

Rising: $3.99/month or $24.99/year. 15% platform fee. Creators keep 85%.

Spotlight: $6.99/month or $39.99/year. 10% platform fee. Creators keep 90%.

Icon: $9.99/month or $59.99/year. 5% platform fee. Creators keep 95%.

• The same platform fee applies to subscriptions, PPV, tips, message unlocks, and custom requests.

• Footly absorbs buyer-side CCBill fees and payout-side ACH or Paxum fees.

Communicate with viewers and potential buyers

Creators who communicate clearly usually give buyers more confidence. A good message can turn a casual viewer into a subscriber, PPV unlock, tipper, or custom-request buyer.

Use Buyer Discover: Check the buyer discovery page for viewers and potential buyers you can reach out to inside Footly.

Start conversations respectfully: Keep the first message short, friendly, and specific. Invite them to view your profile, public teaser, or newest paid set.

Do not spam: A thoughtful message is better than sending the same generic pitch to everyone.

Ask useful questions: If someone is interested in customs, ask what format, style, budget, and deadline they have in mind.

Keep buyer records on Footly: Keep prices, requests, expectations, and delivery details in messages so support can help if anything goes wrong.

Buyer outreach templates

Profile invite: Hey, I just posted a new public teaser on my Footly. If you like the style, my full PPV set is on my profile.

PPV follow-up: I posted a full collection with the exact details in the caption. Take a look and unlock it if it fits what you like.

Custom request opener: Customs are open this week. Send your idea, preferred format, budget, and deadline, and I can let you know what is possible.

Public teasers vs paid full collections

Use public content to create interest, then use paid posts to clearly explain what the buyer gets. The two types of posts should not use the same style of description.

Public teaser posts: These can be lighter, more suggestive, and curiosity-driven. Their job is to show your style and make people want to see more.

Paid full collections: These should be specific and accurate. Tell buyers what the collection or video includes before they unlock.

Paid videos: Mention the approximate length, format, theme, and what makes the video different from your usual posts.

Paid photo sets: Mention the number of photos, theme, styling, setting, and whether subscribers get a discount.

Avoid vague paid captions: Do not rely on generic lines like unlock this if you know what is good. Save generic suggestive copy for public posts and teasers.

Paid post description examples

Too generic for paid: You are going to love this one.

Better for paid: 12-photo close-up set with black polish, indoor lighting, soft arches, soles, and a few side-angle shots. Subscribers get a lower unlock price.

Too generic for paid: New video just dropped.

Better for paid: Short video with a slow preview-to-close-up format, cozy indoor setting, and a clear focus on the style shown in the public teaser.

How to write captions that sell without overexplaining

Say what it is: Mention photo set, short clip, bundle, preview, subscriber drop, or PPV unlock.

Say what makes it different: Lighting, outfit, setting, length, number of items, or theme.

Set expectations: If a post has multiple files, say so. If it is a preview, say what is locked.

Use a clear CTA: Unlock the full set, subscribe for weekly drops, or message me for customs.

Caption templates

Public preview: New preview from this week's set. Subscribe for the full drop and message me for custom requests.

PPV post: New locked set with multiple photos. Unlock for the full bundle; subscribers get a lower price.

Custom menu: Customs are open this week. Send your idea, budget, and deadline in a respectful message.

How to send PPV messages

PPV messages are paid unlocks sent inside a conversation. They work well when a buyer has already shown interest, asked for something specific, or previously purchased from you.

• Open Messages.

• Select the conversation with the buyer.

• Click the creator-only PPV button near the message composer.

• In Send PPV Content, upload images or videos. You can send up to 10 files.

• Wait for each file to finish uploading.

• Set the Price to unlock. The minimum is $1.00.

• Add a short Caption. Keep it specific and clear.

• Review the summary, then choose Send PPV.

PPV message best practices

Do not surprise-price buyers: If possible, tell them what you are sending and the price before sending it.

Use captions as teasers: Explain what is inside without giving away everything.

Bundle logically: One strong 5-item bundle usually feels better than five separate small upsells.

Follow up politely: If they do not unlock, do not pressure them. Offer a smaller option or ask what they prefer next time.

Keep records on Footly: Keep requests, prices, and delivery details in messages so support can help if needed.

How to share your profile

• Your public creator profile uses your username, for example https://app.tryfootly.com/creators/your_username.

• Open your profile and use the share action. On mobile, Footly can open the native share sheet. On desktop, it copies the profile link to your clipboard.

• Before sharing, check that your username, bio, profile image, pinned post, and first few posts look polished.

• Share the profile link in places where adult creator promotion is allowed and where you follow the rules of that platform.

Profile sharing copy templates

Soft launch: I just opened my Footly profile. Verified, new posts weekly, PPV extras, and customs by message.

PPV-focused: New locked set is live on my Footly. Subscribe for the feed or unlock the PPV post.

Custom-focused: Customs are open this week on Footly. Send your idea and budget through my profile.

Content rhythm that works

1-2 public posts per week: Keep discovery fresh.

2-4 subscriber drops per week: Give subscribers a reason to stay.

1 stronger PPV offer per week: Make it a clear bundle or theme.

Message follow-up: Reply to serious buyers, use Buyer Discover for thoughtful outreach, and offer PPV or customs when relevant.

Common mistakes to avoid

• Posting without a bio or profile image.

• Using vague captions like new post with no details, especially on paid posts where buyers need to know exactly what they are unlocking.

• Pricing every item the same even when quality, quantity, or effort differs.

• Sharing private contact information or asking for off-platform payments.

• Accepting custom requests without confirming scope, price, and timing.

• Uploading content you did not create or do not have rights to sell.

Weekly creator maintenance checklist

• Refresh your pinned post if your offer has changed.

• Review which captions and prices got unlocks.

• Reply to buyer messages and close the loop on custom requests.

• Upload at least one strong public teaser and one clearly described paid full collection or video.

• Check your profile from a buyer's point of view.

• Contact support through Settings > Get support if uploads, messages, payouts, or purchases are not behaving correctly.
